Job Description:

  • Write commentaries, columns, or scripts, using computers

  • Edit news material to ensure that it fits within available time or space

  • Report news to the public

  • Join social media groups and professional platforms to discuss industry-related topics

  • Update blogs, social media, and website on a weekly-bi-weekly basis

  • Write-up and submit newsworthy information about the agency and its upcoming events 

  • Select material most pertinent to the presentation, and organize this material into appropriate formats 

  • Generate, edit, publish and share daily content (original text, images, video or HTML) that builds meaningful connections and encourages community members to take action

  • Set goals to gradually achieve superior customer engagement and intimacy

  • Build and execute social media strategy through competitive research, platform determination, benchmarking, messaging and audience identification

  • Create editorial calendars and syndication schedules

Qualifications:

To be successful, an individual must be able to perform each job duty satisfactorily.

  • 5months -2years of Marketing experience

  • Some Sales and Marketing skills

  • Customer and Personal Service 

 

Skills:

Hands-on experience with web content management tools, like WordPress

Proficiency in MS Office

Knowledge of SEO and Google Analytics

Experience with marketing campaigns on social media

Excellent verbal and written communication skills

Good presentation skills

Time Commitments

Hours are generally Tuesday through Saturday, hours may vary

Financial Advisor

Position:  Part-Time

Hours: 2-4 hours a week

Number of positions: 2

Time Commitment: 5 weeks per class up to 6 months

General Duties:

1.      Assist a class of youth to adults ages 18 and up with the basics of banking, Credit Unions vs Traditional Banks.

2.      Creating a plan for achieving short and long-term financial goals.

3.      How to build healthy money habits.

4.      Some info on credit-Debt to credit ratio.

5.      Develop strategies for paying off debt.  

6.      Creating a budget spreadsheet.

7.      Ability to create a positive atmosphere

8.      Flexible to attend graduation (end of 6 weeks).

9.      Adhere to all RMPM volunteer confidentiality policies and procedures.

10.  Performs other duties as assigned by the supervisor, if needed

Minimum Qualifications

 Hold a bachelor's degree, plus 3 years’ experience or Personal Financial Specialist (PFS) – Have 75 hours personal financial planning education.

Demonstrated Knowledge of: Understanding the diverse population they will be serving.

Demonstrated Ability to: Provide assistance and problem solves a variety financial issue that arise due to personal issues; enforce client confidentiality policies and procedures and maintain a positive customer service environment.

Computer Lab Proctor

Position:  Part-Time

Hours: 2-6 hours a week; Tuesday- Thursday 5pm-7pm

Number of positions: OPEN

Time Commitment: 6mths

 

General Duties:

  1. Acts as an on-site resource to individual students and groups accessing computer technology; helps familiarize students with software; assists completing assignments, and teach basic computer skills ().

  2. Opens and/or closes the computer lab and provides for the general cleanliness, safety and security of the laboratory area. Reports maintenance problems to the Service Request Center as they occur.

  3. Troubleshoots and diagnoses basic problems with computer equipment. Performs minor maintenance and repair on equipment, as necessary. Refers problems to the Computer Labs Coordinator or Help Desk if unable to resolve.

  4. Responds to questions from students, staff, and instructors with information relating to the computer laboratory, both over the phone and in person.

  5. Maintains records of activities undertaken in the computer lab which includes tracking the number of students utilizing the lab, determining what class students are taking and how much paper is used by students.  

  6. Supervise students taking tests and ensure compliance with all rules and standards.

  7. Ability to adapt to change and interact with students.

  8. Ability to work in a team environment and provide coverage for teammates as needed.

  9. Adhere to all RMPM volunteer policies and procedures.

  10. Performs other duties as assigned by the supervisor.

 

 

Minimum Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent.  Must also have one year of training in computer technology either through direct experience working with the technology or by completing courses designed to provide troubleshooting skills and use of MS Office applications.

 

Demonstrated Knowledge of: Computer equipment and related software; record-keeping procedures.

Demonstrated Ability to: Provide assistance and problem solves a variety of basic computer related issues; enforce policies and procedures and maintain a positive customer service environment.

Volunteer Event Coordinator

Position: Part-time/ Full-time

Hours: 8-20hours a week/3-5 days

Number of positions: 2

Commitment Time: 6mths

 

Job Description:

Primary: The Volunteer Manager supervises volunteers and provides direction, coordination, and consultation for all volunteer functions while working closely with the Executive Director

Involve a community of supporters as described in the duties outlined below:

  • Develop, promote, and maintain a wide range of volunteer opportunities within the organization

    • Organize and participate in volunteer recognition programs and special events

    • Evaluate all aspects of volunteer programs to ensure effectiveness and to recommend/implement changes as appropriate

    • Maintain accurate records and provide timely statistical and activity reports on volunteer participation

    • Recruit, interview and place applicants for volunteer work

    • Host and attend recruiting events within the community to attract qualified candidates

    • Develop and maintain relationships with other volunteer organizations within the area

    • Provide ongoing support and guidance for volunteers

    • Act as a single point of contact for communications

Volunteer Photographer

Position: Part-time/ Full-time

Hours: 3days/4-7hrs a week/weekend

Number of positions: 2

Commitment Time: 6mths

 

Job Description:

Must have or have access to the following: 

  • traditional or digital cameras, along with a variety of equipment such as tripods, filters, and flash                 attachments 

  • A computer and specialized software to manipulate and enhance scanned or digital images to create desired effects.

 

Must be capable of the following: 

  • Transfer photographs to computers for editing, archiving, and electronic transmission 

  • Determine project goals, locations, and equipment needs by studying assignments and consulting with clients or advertising staff. 

  • Review sets of photographs to select the best work 

  • Take pictures of individuals and events either in a studio or on location 

  • Maintain an in-depth understanding of photographic best practices and procedures

 

Qualifications:

Must have the following: 

  • minimum of 5 mths or more experience

  • Solid knowledge of Photoshop, Capture One or other photography specific software

  • Customer and Personal Service 

  • Ability to juggle multiple tasks

  • Computers and Electronics 

  • Knowledge of fine art

 

 

 

Marketing Volunteer

Position: Part-time/ Full-time

Hours: 2-4days/4-8hours a week

Number of positions: 4

Commitment Time: 6mths

 

Job Description:

  • Promote our programs & services during events

  • Coordinate the design of promotional material and distribute in online and offline channels

  • Advertise our agency and products/services on various media

  • Plan interviews and press conferences

  • Produce marketing copy for our website

  • Track ROI for marketing campaigns

  • Monitor corporate website and social media pages and address clients’ queries

  • Network with industry experts and potential clients to drive brand awareness

  • Gather customer feedback to inform sales and product teams

  • Identify, develop, or evaluate marketing strategy, based on knowledge of establishment objectives, and market characteristics

  • Build a relationship with all media sources in and out of the Leon County

  • Compile lists describing product or service offerings

  • Coordinate or participate in promotional activities or trade shows, working with Executive Director, to market fundraisers and events

  • Conduct economic or commercial surveys to identify potential markets for donations and attendees of each event

Have a solid understanding of how each social media channel works and how to optimize content so that it is engaging on those channels.

Excellent consulting, writing, editing (photo/video/text), presentation and communication skills

Adequate knowledge of web design, web development, SEO

Knowledge of online marketing and a good understanding of major marketing channels

Positive attitude, detail, and customer oriented  with good multitasking and organizational ability
